Talton M. Smith Talton M. Smith, age 88, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away at 12:50PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born on February 12, 1924 in Delphia, Kentucky, to the late Lemual Paris and Laura Miniard Smith. His wife of 65 years and eight months, Louise D. Smith Smith, survives. He is also survived by his five children and their spouses: Pamela Louise and Ron Cresswell of Dallas, Texas, Candy and Michael Smith of Tipp City, Ohio, Carol and James Williams of Nashville, Tennessee, Talton Michael and Suki Smith of Columbia, South Carolina, and Keith P. Smith of Lawrenceville, Georgia; one brother, Milton Smith of Tennessee; one sister, Elvalee Stewart of Hamilton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by one son, Charles Paris Smith in 1955. He attended Hobart Welding School and was a member of Troy Baptist Temple. Mr. Smith retired in 1990 from BF Goodrich after 38 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at Troy Baptist Temple, 691 East Staunton Road, Troy, Ohio 45373, with Pastor Frank Workman officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 11:00AM to 1:00PM on Thursday at the church.
