Sylvia M. Weiss is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and James Dawson; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr.  Robert and Mabel Lou Weiss; sister, Vena Moseley; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by five brothers, one sister, her parents, Albert Guy DeHart and Verna Brownlee DeHart and her husband, Rev. Lorell Weiss.

Mrs. Weiss was a member of the Troy Church of the Brethren and a former volunteer with FISH and the Troy Literacy Council.  She was a graduate of Laton High School, Laton, CA and LaVerne College, LaVerne, CA.

Private interment service will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held 7:00PM Friday, November 24, 2000 at the Troy Church of the Brethren.  The family will receive friends following the service.  Contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charity.
