Susannah P. Grove, 77, of Troy, Ohio passed away Sat. 2/24/01 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. She was born 5/10/1923 in Newton Township to Thomas and Phebe Lodge McBride. Mrs. Grove is survived by her husband of 48 years James W. Grove; a daughter and son-in-law Sara R. and John McNabb of Piqua; son and daughter-in-law David and Emma Grove of Maryland; brother Philip McBride of Ludlow Falls; 3 sisters Mary Jane Voke of St. Mary's, Clara Palmer of Florida, Lindalu Cuddeback of Missouri; 3 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren. Susannah was preceded in death by 2 brothers James and Sam McBride and a sister Lydia Besecker. She was a graduate of Newton High School and Earlam College, a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and the Neighborhood club. A Memorial service will be held Wed. 2/28/2001 at 11:00AM at the St. John's United Church of Christ with the Rev. Carla Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Covington, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home Tues. 2/27/2001 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Contributions may be made to the National Scleraderma Association or the donor's favorite charity.
