Steven L. Spurgeon, 57, of Troy, Ohio died on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. He was born on September 24, 1947 in Troy, OH to the late Forrest and Eldred Waters Spurgeon. He married Christine A. Pierson and she survives, wife of 37 years. Also surviving are their children, Sons and Daughters-in-law; Steven L. and Karen Spurgeon II of Piqua, OH and Brian A. and Judy Spurgeon of Keller, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law; Scott and Susan Stanze of Troy, OH; Bill and Diane Stanze of Bradford, OH; sisters and brother-in-law; Shirley Biddle of Piqua, OH and Susan and Brian Work of Denver, CO; three grandchildren, McKenzie, Tyler and Benjamin. He was preceded in death by his parents. He attended Crosspoint Church, Troy, OH; member of the VFW Post #5436 of Troy, OH; US Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 1:00PM at the Baird Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daryl Fulp officiating. There will be VFW Military Services at the funeral home on Saturday.
