Stephen Gregory Thompson left this Earthly plane on June 3rd, 2025. He was a resident of Troy, OH and many other places throughout his kaleidoscopic life "Handsome Steve" now goes to join his son Shanti Govinda and his mother Della Mae as other before him have done.

He is survived by his wife Karen Thompson; family: David Nathaniel, Katie, Taylor, Revan, Sara Jane, Harrison, Julian, Addison, Samuel Wolfgang, Sonya Marie, Corinne Nicole, Alex, Lili, Rose, Beth, Marty, Chandra, Amanda, Cordelia and an endless horde of children and grandchildren; siblings: Jim, Bruce, Brian, Cindi, Jill, Michael and Rusty.

Stephen was a graduate of Shawnee State University with a bachelor's of fine arts degree. He lived as a connoisseur of life and love throughout his many decades and was a champion of the human spirit, sharing his mastery of art and music in a mix of colorful language that seldom few were prepared to hear. Stephen endeared himself to the human condition in all he touched. Above all things, he considered his fatherhood his greatest work and his children his brightest joy.

"My father wanted to be reborn, outside of linear time. A return to an untamed Kentucky and live amongst the early people's of the region. Walk barefoot through forests, climb freely through hills and dales. To again conquer in love and creation."
