Stephen Q. Pencil, age 73, of Troy, OH passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Upper Valley Medical Center.  He was born on April 28, 1948 in Springfield, OH to the late Albert and Dora (Dunn) Pencil.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years:  Cathy (Hartman) Pencil; four children: David (Missy) Herrmann of Troy; Laura Allen of Enon; Amy (Ty) Welker of Troy and Stephanie Abrams of Tipp City; brother: Dan Pencil of Springfield; sister: Drew (Michael) Henry of Springfield; eleven grandchildren; one great granddaughter and special friend: Hazel his dog.

Steve was a 1966 graduate of Greenon High School and the Ohio School of Nursing in Columbus.  He retired from the US Army.  He retired from Navistar after 33 years of service.  While working at Navistar he also worked as a nurse at Mercy Hospital.  Following retirement, he was a driver for FedEx.  Steve's enjoyment was walking his dog, Hazel.

A private interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3230 North County Road 25A, Troy, OH 45373.
