Sonja Antonia Barga (79) of Troy, Ohio, passed away at StoryPoint Senior Living in Troy, Ohio on August 6, 2025.  Born in Berea, Kentucky on May 24, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John and Geneva (Lester) Felty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Lawrence "Larry" Barga, brother-in-law John "Jack" (Janice) Barga, sister-in-law Virginia (Clifford) Harmon, brother-in-law Robert "Gus" (Norma) Barga, sister-in-law Betty (Lester) Lehmkuhl and brother-in-law James (Sadie) Barga.

Sonja is survived by sister-in-law Patricia Beck, brother-in-law Edward (Joyce) Barga and sister-in-law Joan Smith as well as several nieces and nephews.

Sonja graduated from Carlisle High School in Carlisle, Ohio and retired from the GM Delphi plant in Vandalia, Ohio where she worked for 30 years.  Sonja married Larry on November 24, 1979 in Tipp City, Ohio.  The couple resided in Tipp City for 28 years before moving to Fairfield Glade Resort in Tennessee for 17 years to enjoy retirement.  Sonja was an avid golfer and Ohio State Buckeye fan.

A graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
