Smith "Cotton" Reed, 84, of Troy, Ohio died on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the Harborside Healthcare Center, Troy. He was born on January 7, 1922 in Greenup, Kentucky to the late Lonnie and Stella Howard Reed. He married Eva Mae Sharits, and she precedes him in death in November 1, 1994. He is survived by daughter & sons-in-law; Winnie Smith and Denny Wyen of Troy, OH; Wanda & Ed Fulcher of Orlando, FL; Wilma & Barry Willoughby of Troy, OH; Wanita & Greg Morris of California;; sons & daughter-in-law; Tim Reed of Troy, OH; Glenn Reed of Troy, OH; Rick & Gaylene Reed of Troy, OH; Lonnie Reed of Troy, OH; sister Flora Collier of Greenup, Kentucky, brothers & sisters-in-law; John & Helen Reed; Bill & Pat Reed and Glenn Reed all of Greenup, Kentucky; Betty Reed of Florida; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters, Flossie Hammond and Clara Hatch; brothers, Earl and Jack Reed; and two grandchildren, Melvin Smith and Eric Reed. He retired from General Telephone Company after 28 years of service. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2006 @ 2:00pm at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Fr. Larry Wyen, CCPS officiating. Friends may call on the family, Monday, March 27, 2006 from 12 Noon to 2:00pm at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio.
