Shirley Ann (Knife) Cochran, age 89, formerly of Pleasant Hill, OH passed away on December 9, 2024 in Greenville, OH, surrounded by family.  She was born on June 16, 1935 in Tipp City, OH to the late Russell D. and Catherine A. (Sleppy) Knife.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Steven Lee Cochran of Longmont, CO and Jeffrey Lynn (Judith) Cochran of Versailles, OH; granddaughters: Amanda (Kyle) Naugle, Ashley (Roberto) Maron and Hannah Cochran; and one great grandson: Grayson Ring. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years of marriage: Leslie Boyd Cochran, Jr.; two granddaughters: Kimberly Ann Cochran and Danielle Ring; and one brother and sister-in-law: James E. (Shirley) Knife.

She was a 1953 graduate of Miami Central High School and attended The Ohio State University.  She was a member of the marching band in both high school and college.  She retired after 17 years of service in accounting with Hobart Brothers Company in Troy. She was a longtime member of the Troy Church of the Brethren.  She was active in 4-H and a longtime Buckeye's fan.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
