SHIRLEY A. CHALMERS

Shirley A. Chalmers, age 80, of Troy, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at her residence. She was born December 13, 1934 in Trotwood, Ohio to the late Herschel Gephart and Grace (Puterbaugh) Gephart Peterson. She was married to Arthur F. Chalmers, Jr. and he preceded her in death in 1996.

Shirley is survived by one daughter: Robyn (Terry) Stout of Troy; three sons: Timothy Chalmers of The Woodlands, Texas, Gary (Leesa) Chalmers of Bridgeport, WV and Arthur "Artie" Chalmers III of Troy; three sisters: Alberta Baker of Brookville, Frances Class of Dayton, and Ethel Holland of Dayton; nine grandchildren: Brad, Lance, Matt, Cory, Trent, Kyle, Kyleigh, Jason and Nina; and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Wilhelmy.

Shirley was a member of the Troy Church of the Brethren and was a long time bus driver for the Troy City Schools.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00PM on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00PM at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.  Friends may express condolences to the family through www.bairdfuneralhome.com
