SHIRLEY ANN SNYDER

Longtime Troy resident, Shirley Ann Snyder, age 89 passed away on March 12, 2018 after a courageous fight with cancer. She will be greeted in heaven by her husband of 49 years, Donald Snyder.

Shirley was born on March 22, 1928 to the late Paul and Alpha Faulkner in Dayton, Ohio. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Robert and Kenneth Faulkner, sisters Dorothy Williamson, and Nellie Faulkner and nephew Jim Williamson. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Seizer, of Vandalia and nephews and nieces, Marcia Bostick of Dayton, Kathy Cunagin of Circleville, Cheryl Elson of Chillicothe, David Faulkner of Columbus, Jack Faulkner of Andrews, North Carolina, Joy Faulkner of Dayton, Robert Faulkner of Dayton, Tom Faulkner of Dayton, Carla Imes of Holly Springs, North Carolina, Barbara Kedler of Kettering, Janet Wilson of Tipp City, Susan Wildern of Vandalia, Bruce Williamson of Hilliard, Christine Yost of Troy and  numerous great nieces and nephews all of whom loved her very much.

Shirley was a beautiful person inside and out who lived her life with uncommon grace and humility. She loved her family, her church, her garden, traveling, cooking and nature (except the deer when they ate her flowers). Shirley was a member of Nashville United Church of Christ, and Monroe Township GrangeViewing by family, friends and acquaintances will be held at the Baird Funeral Home, 555 N. Market St., Troy Ohio between 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Church services will be at the Nashville United Church of Christ at 4540 West State Route 571, West Milton Ohio at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 16, 2018, with burial at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City, Ohio.
