Shirley Culp Davies, age 67 of Troy, Ohio died Friday, October 5, 2001 in Pittsfield, PA along with her husband, Dr. A. Robert Davies. Mrs. Davies is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Tom Moyer; son, Robert Lane Davies; grandchildren, Sarah Davies Moyer and Thomas Davies Moyer; brothers, Dr. Ralph Borden Culp and Joseph Franklin Culp. Mrs. Davies was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy. A 1955 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University. She was involved in many civic and community efforts and memberships including, Stouder Hospital volunteer; Ohio State Medical Association Alliance; Planned Parenthood of Miami Valley; Troy Hayner Cultural Center; American Association of University Women; Troy Literacy Council; Miami County Board of Health; Board of National Advisors of United Theological School; Miami County Board of Elections. She was a recipient of the Troy Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award and the Troy Sertoma Clubs Service to Mankind Award.
