Sherry ''Lynn'' Powell, 60, died at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio on Monday, November 25, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dr. Terry L. Powell; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy L. and Scott Farron; son and daughter-in-law, Jon R. and Fonda Powell. Mrs. Powell worked with Re-Max Professionals, Tipp City, Ohio. She is a current member of Miami Valley Rangers, past member of Central States Horse Show Association. Lynn enjoyed her hobbies of knitting, decorating her doll house and quilting. She loved to read; her favorite fictional character being Dirk Pitt. She also loved collecting teddy bears, baskets and bird houses. A few of her favorite things included lunches at Tipp O' Town, cruising vacations, slot machines at Las Vegas and weekends at Indian Lake. She loved all creatures, great and small. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 30, 200 at 12:00pm at Skyview Wesleyan Church, 6995 S. Peters Pike, Tipp City, Ohio with Pastor John Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio The family will receive friends following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, contribuions may be made to Miami County Humane Society.
