Sherman S. Bair, 89, of Troy, Ohio died on Monday, November 20, 2006 at his residence. He was born on April 11, 1917 in Jackson Township, Ohio to the late Ephraim and Grace May Henning Bair. He married Mary Evelyn Sargent Bair, and she passed on December 5, 2003. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law; Susan E. and Melvin Seitz of Troy, OH; two sisters, Mary Ellen Phillis of Tipp City, OH Jane Bissett of Florida; two grandchildren, Kendra Taylor and Timothy Seitz and two great-grandchildren, Alexandra Taylor and Brandon Ward. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles; Experimental Aircraft Association EAA; US Navy veteran, having served during WW II. He loved to travel and fly along with his late wife. He retired in 1982 from AO Smith Company. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 11:00AM at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. There will be veterans Honor Guard services at the graveside. Friends may call on the family, Friday, November 24, 2006 from 6-8PM and then again on Saturday, November 25, 2006 from 10:00-11:00AM at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio.
