Obituary

Shelby Cecil, 72, of Sidney, Ohio died on March 20, 2006 at the Kettering Medical Center. He was born on May 16, 1933 in Big Woods, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Edith Lawson Cecil. He married JoAnn Mitchell, his wife of 53 years, and she survives. Also surviving are his two daughters, Shelly Schriml of Centerville, OH; Jane Smith of Red Lodge, Montana; eight brothers and sisters, Violet Gay Bair of Germantown, OH; Mary Ellen Werts of Miamisburg, OH; Clarence Cecil Jr. of Jackson Center, OH; Eura Mae Stanford of Pensacola, FL; Imogene Jones of Lima, OH; Arnold Cecil of Wapakoneta, OH; Arlene Mathews of Clarkston, MI and Mildred Midge Bowlin; five grandchildren, Rick Rudolph; Matthew Rudolph, Katelyn Rudolph; Ted Schriml; Stephanie Schriml; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Kennedi Rudolph. He is a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was former Owner/Operator of both Cecil Equipment Co. in Medina, OH and Creative Automation of Troy, OH. There will be a private graveside service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Shelby County.
