Sharon L. Phillis, age 62, of Troy, Ohio died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 6:00PM in Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born October 23, 1948, the daughter of the late Chester and Edna Bentley Collett. She was married to her husband of 33 years, Carl D. Phillis Jr. who preceded her in death on March 10, 2006. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Travis Welch of Troy; special granddaughter, Delaney Davis; sisters and brother-in-law, Rosemary and James Sammons of Tipp City, Crystal Lind of Minnesota; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chester and Augusta Collett Jr. of Troy, Joe and Joyce Collett of Arizona, and J.B. Collett of Georgia; and her father-in-law, Carl D. Phillis Sr. of Troy. In addition to her parents and her husband, Sharon was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers. She was a 1967 graduate of Troy High School. She enjoyed singing and her family. Services will be 10:30AM Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Ed Ellis officiating. Burial will take place in Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home.
