Sara Kaye Scherer, age 83, of Tipp City, OH, passed away at her residence on March 5, 2024. She was born on July 26, 1940 in Troy, OH to the late Charles and Blanche (Hansford) Chaney.

Sara is survived by her children: Russell (Jennifer) Scherer, Brian Potter, Robin (Roger) Naseman, Ed Potter, and Richard (Jerry) Scherer, Jr.; grandchildren: Nikki (Kenny II) Creager, Brooklyn Michael, Brielle Scherer, Keelan Scherer, Erica (Dustin) Richwine, Zackary Sharits, and Nathan (Myriah) Sharits; and great grandchildren: Kenny Ray Creager III, Liam Creager, Skylar Sharits, Kalao Sharits, and Hazel Richwine; and beloved cat: Kittyboo. A special "thank you" to Annette Adkins and Leah White for all your love and care. In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Scherer; daughter: Dee Dee Stinaker; and 16 brothers and sisters.

Sara was a 1958 graduate of Troy High School.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 871 Cedar Grove Drive, Tipp City, OH 45371.
