Samuel James Bailey, 90, of Troy, Ohio died on Sunday, March 27, 2005 at 8:51PM at the Covington Care Center, Covington, Ohio. Samuel was born on June 14, 1914 in Troy, Ohio to the late Alex and Florence Feebeck Bailey. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Faye Markley Bailey who passed in 1996. They married on September 27, 1940. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law; Ruth Ann and Robert Kidder of Ludlow Falls, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and brother and sister-in-law; Joe and Mary Bailey of Spring Hill, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and three sisters, Ada Ash; June McClelland and Bernadine Widener. He was in the Civil Air Patrol; served in the US Armey during W.W. II; was a ex-pilot; avid motorcycle rider and racer; life member of Waco Historical Society; loved golf and was an avid golfer; past employee of Miami Shores and Homestead Golf Course and won several local tournaments; Artist, painting acrylics. He attended Troy City Schools. He was a retired Machinist with WACO; Miller-Trojan Mfg. of Troy, Ohio. Funeral Services will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the graveside. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. There will be VFW Memorial Honor Guard at the cemetery. Contributions may be made to WACO Historical Society.
