Sam F. Kramer Sam F. Kramer, age 87, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 8:54PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born on November 12, 1923 in New York City, New York to the late Maurice and Marcelle Olivier Kramer. In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his first wife, Mabel Williams Kramer in 1986 and his brother, Harry R. Kramer. He is survived by his second wife, Esther M. Crum Kramer; two daughters and sons-in-law: Christy A. and Larry Shanklin and Suzanne J. and Michael Oswald; stepdaughter, Vonnie Wilson; stepson and daughter-in-law, Jim and Leighann Lucas; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. Sam was a US Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy; Knights of Columbus; member and Past Exalted Ruler of Troy Elks Lodge; and member of the American Legion, Troy. Sam was an engineer with BF Goodrich for 37 years, retiring in 1986. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, April 4, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy with Memorial Honor Guard at the graveside. Friends may call from 2-4PM on Sunday at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
