Sally Ann Twiss, age 60, of Troy, Ohio died Friday, May 20, 2011 at her residence. She was born March 15, 1951 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Patricia Ann Lutz Twiss of Troy and the late William Custer Twiss. In addition to her mother, Sally is survived by her life partner, Dr. James L. Sims of Troy; daughter, Megan Austin of Troy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William Douglas and Diane Twiss of Troy; Robert Custer and Janet Elizabeth Christie Twiss of Troy; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan Elizabeth and Mark Alan Welty of Troy; Sandra Lee and Larry Stephen Smith of Troy; and Sharon Patricia and Billy Joe Emerick of Troy; three grandchildren, Chelsea, Bailey, and Avery; and many nieces and nephews. Sally is also survived by all the many people touched by her zest for life. Sally was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Troy where she served as a Stephen Minister. She was a former member of the Dayton Ballet. She was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1969. She was employed as a business office administrator with Edward Jones Investments in downtown Troy for over 20 years. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00-7:00PM on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church fellowship hall, 20 South Walnut Street, Troy, Ohio. A private family interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of donor's choice.
