Sally Jo Austin Sally Jo Austin, age 51, of Troy, Ohio, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at her residence. She was born on August 26, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio to Joseph Raymond and Nancy Witters Fish. Sally is survived by her mother, Nancy of Burnside, Kentucky; son, Derrick Austin of Troy; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Bill Whidden of Troy, Ohio; brother, Mark Fish of Germantown, Ohio and his fiancée, Debbie Edwards of Centerville, Ohio; and two nieces: Bethany Whidden and her son, Michael, and Laura Mickey Battle and their daughters, Fiona and Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph. Sally received her Masters in Education from University of Dayton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy and an advisor to the Special Olympics. Sally was a Special Education Teacher at the Miami County Educational Service Center. She was loved by many. A memorial service will be held at 7:00PM on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with John Jung officiating. Friends may call from 5-7PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Private interment will take place at Dayton Memorial Park.
