S. Eugene Hawkins S. Eugene Hawkins, age 69, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 10:36AM on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born on September 14, 1942 in Ramsey, West Virginia to the late Billie and Ruby Kessler Hawkins. His wife of 49 years, Gladis A. Harper Hawkins, survives. In addition to his wife, Gladis, Eugene was survived by his four children: Robert Eugene Jennifer Hawkins of Troy, Melissa Tom Williams of West Virginia, Penny Kiser fiancé, Joel Moore of Troy, and Timothy James Hawkins fiancé, Nikki Bates of Troy; brothers and sisters: Shelby Frank Woolley of Fletcher, Ohio, Kennah Hawkins of Troy, Billie Karen Hawkins of Sidney, Ohio, Joyce George Ramsey of Edmond, West Virginia, Johnny Valorie Hawkins of Tonkwa, Oklahoma, Terry Tammy Hawkins of Piqua, Ohio and Jessica Doug Iiams of Sidney, Ohio; nine grandchildren: Sherry Coy, Robert Hawkins, Jr., Haley Hawkins, Kayla Hawkins, Tiffany Kiser, Jordan Williams, Heather Lamonica, Jasmine Pearce and Jacob Pearce; and eight great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Redmens Lodge, Eagles, AmVets, VFW and Troy Fish & Game all of Troy. He was a bartender at AmVets Post No. 88 for several years. He retired from Faurecia Corporation in Troy. He also restored cars as a hobby. A graveside service will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Riverside Cemetery, Troy, with Rev.
