Ruth E. Epler Studebaker, 75, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Sunday, April 4, 2004 in Gainesville, Florida. She was born on April 23, 1928 in Troy, Ohio to the late Elmer Allen and Helen Viola Yongken Epler. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, who passed on March 6, 1996, Gene Studebaker. She is survived by five children, daughter, Ruthanne Jerry Armstrong of Jacksonville, Fla., sons; David Hazel Studebaker of Gainesville, Fla., Robert Studebaker and friend, Debbie Studebaker of Troy, Ohio; Wayne Cindy Studebaker of Gainesville, Fla., and John Studebaker of Troy, Ohio. She also is survived by a sister, Joan Titus of Philadelphia, PA. She has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jennifer & Scott Sharits of Troy, OH; John R. Studebaker of Troy, OH; Josh E. Studebaker of Troy, OH; Jacob Wayne Studebaker of Piqua, OH; Jessica Nicole Studebaker of Piqua, OH; Tim & Pam Armstrong of Nashville, TN; and Scott Armstrong of Nashville, TN. Great grandchildren, Cody Armstrong; Devin Studebaker; Erica, Zackary & Nathan Sharits; and David & Joey Armstrong. Along with her parents and husband preceeding her in death, one sister, Helen. She was a former member of Women of the Moose, Troy; former member of Casstown Lutheran Church. She loved her children and grandchildren very much. She competed in cake decorating and loved to bake amd make candy. She enjoyed traveling, history and numerous other interest. She was a graduate of the School of Cosmetology, Philadelphia, PA. She retired from Studebaker Family National Association after serving as Secretary and then eventually, President since 1963, and worked for Process Equipment, Tipp City for many years. Family Interment in Studebaker Family Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Liver Association or Hospice of Miami County.
