Ruth Eileen Ditmer Whitman, age 83 of Troy, Ohio died Saturday, August 3, 2002 at the Harborside Healthcare Center, Troy. She was born of the late, Jesse Leo and Emma Caroline Saring Ditmer. Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Whitman in 1989; two brothers, Noah Eugene and Gerald Joe Ditmer and one sister, Lucille Everwein. She is survived by her sister, Mildred Cox of Phoenix, AZ and niece, Theda Johnston of Phoenix and Sonja Godbout of Mesa, AZ. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy and attended the Troy High School. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County or First United Church of Christ, Troy.
