RUTH (JONES) COPP, age 88, of Troy passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Genesis/Troy Rehabilitation Center in Troy.  She was born on November 28, 1925 in Columbus, OH to the late Carl H. and Christine (Werkhaven) Jones.  Ruth was married to Robert Copp for 65 years and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Roberta C. and Patrick Schroeder of Huber Heights, OH; one son and daughter-in-law: Richard A. and Susan Copp of Roscoe, IL; one son-in-law: Monte W. Swank of Troy, OH; one sister: Martha Reichenbach of Columbus, OH; eleven grandchildren: Chris, Allison, Brian, Dustin, Evan, Amber, Kristen, Trisha, Jessica, Amanda and Morgan; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Karen (Copp) Swank.

Ruth was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Troy, where she served as a deacon.  She received her Degree as a Registered Nurse at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus, OH.  Ruth worked for 17 years at The Villa (Genesis/ Troy Rehabilitation) in Troy.  Ruth was a loving wife, inspirational mother, nurturing grandmother and great grandmother and "sly as a fox".

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 15, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church in Troy with Rev. Dr. Richard Culp officiating.  A luncheon will follow immediately at the church.  Graveside will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday at Riverside Cemetery in Troy.  Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Thursday at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
