Ruth J Cheetham Carsten, 85, of Troy, Ohio passed March 14, 2007 at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born in Buffalo, NY on May 11, 1921. Ruth was a charter member of Mayfair Congregational Christian Church of Toledo, Ohio and was a member of Fort Industry, Chapter #391 Eastern Star for 56 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Lewis Carsten. She is survived by her sons Ronald, Thomas and Gary, daughter-in-laws Jean & Tina, sisters Doris Schulte of St Louis MO and Jean Vorhees of Sylvania OH, brother Victor Carsten, six grandchildren, numerous loving nieces and nephews and close friend Ernest Detterman. A grave side memorial service will be held at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park on March 24 at 11 AM. If desired, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
