Ruth Marie Bowman, age 94 passed out of this life on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.  She was born on November 30, 1923 in Portsmouth, OH to the late Harold and Alta (Norris) Bard.  She was married to her husband of 37 years: Richard A. Bowman and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2004.

Ruth is survived by her children:  Linda Christman of Union; Rhonda Hereford of Tipp City; Jana Willis of Fulton; Sandra Mooney of Bennington, NH and Tamara Sharpe of Union; stepsons: Michael Bowman of Menlo Park, CA and Douglas Bowman of Enon; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her stepson: Steven Bowman and sister: Jean Carpenter.

A family graveside will be held at a later date in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
