Ruth E. Baker, 97, of Piqua, and formerly of Troy, died Saturday, June 10, 2000, at Heartland of Piqua.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Mary Ann Zimmerman Ditmer; her husband, Emey Baker on April 12, 1994; two sons, Edwin and Samuel; one brother and one sister.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Harold E. and Terry Baker of Troy; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred Harris of Troy, Glenna and Gilbert Williams of Piqua and Betty and Donald Brewer of New Madison, three nieces; 14 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. Gary L. Williams and Rev. Marilyn Chivington officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
