Ruby H. Mikels Ruby H. Mikels, age 90, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 5:12AM on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Clare Bridge of Troy. She was born on January 18, 1923 in Muncie, Indiana, to the late Hansford and Rosetta Arrasmith Hawkins. She married George W. Mikels, Sr. on July 27, 1944 and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2008. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and David Benedict of Troy and Kay and Mike Brokschmidt of Tipp City, Ohio; one son and daughter-in-law, George W. Jr. and Janie Mikels of Casstown, Ohio; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Annabelle and Don Black of Piqua, Ohio, Rosie Foles of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Ethel Wilkins of Sidney, Ohio; three granddaughters and their husbands, Marlane and Joel Webb, Lynne and Dan Zimmerman, and Laura and Kevin Daniel; one grandson, M. Charles Brokschmidt; eight great-grandchildren, Kayla and Alayna Webb, Allison, Nicole, Kaylena and Blaine Brokschmidt, and Lily and Ruby Zimmerman. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Mikels was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ and a 50 year member Order of Eastern Star No. 256. She retired from M&R Drugs in 1984. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
