Ruby Louise Evans, 80, of Bogue Chitto, MS and formerly of Troy, Ohio died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Kings Daughters Hospital in Brookhaven, MS. Mrs. Evans was born June 21, 1927 in Troy, Ohio. She was the daughter of Leroy Woods and Estella Mae Childress Woods. She was a member of First United Church of Christ where she was a Deaconess and a member of the Ruth Circle. She was a former member of Rebeka Lodge, Staunton Grange and the Troy Senior Citizens. Mrs. Evans retired in 1990 after 30 years of service as a Label Maker for L&CP/Ivex Corp., St. Regis in Troy, OH. She lived in Bogue Chitto, MS with her beloved niece, Mrs. Bonnie L. Moak and her husband Ed Moak. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Woods; her husband, Louis Jack Evans; one son, Randall "Randy" Wayne Evans; one brother, Ralph Woods; three sisters, Goldie A. Studebaker, Minnie M. Woods, and N. Elizabeth Kennedy; one niece, Connie L. Weaver, one great niece, Melissa Dawn Moak. She is survived by a beloved nephew, Jack Evans and his wife Janie of Troy, OH; 2 nieces, 6 nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews; and 15 great-great-nephews and nieces; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy, Ohio from 5:00 PM until 8:00PM and will continue Friday morning from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 10:00AM at Baird Funeral Home.
