Roy D. Studebaker, age 91, of Troy, Ohio died Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Covington Care Center. He was born November 23, 1919 in Miami County to the late Alva Clifford and Nora Mariah Earhart Studebaker. He married Anna E. Stone in 1950 and she preceded him in death in 1995. Roy is survived by his nieces, Betty White of Troy and Jean Larry Hannan of Springfield and nephew, James Donna Studebaker of Troy. In addition to his parents and his spouse, Roy was preceded in death by his three brothers, Lester Studebaker and Clarence and Russell VanKirk. Roy retired from Hobart Manufacturing Company after 42 years of service. He was a WWII US Army Veteran having served from 1942-45. Roy was a member of the Franklin Lodge #14 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Troy VFW, Troy Fish and Game, Monroe Grange, and the Elks Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Troy. Services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Interment will take place in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio.
