Roscoe Emerson McKinney, Jr. Roscoe Emerson McKinney, Jr., age 80, of Troy, Ohio, died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at his residence. He was born April 14, 1928 in Miami County, Ohio, to the late Roscoe Emerson McKinney, Sr. and Florence Jeannette LaChat McKinney. He married Patricia Lou Ryan McKinney and she preceded him in death in June of 1994. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Steven L. and Roberta McKinney of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughter, Sheryl Rae McKinney of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, Halle Elizabeth Haste and Aaron Matthew McKinney both of Indianapolis, Indiana and two great-grandchildren, Hank and Abraham Haste. In addition to his parents and his spouse, Roscoe was preceded in death by brother, Morris "Bud" McKinney and sister, Virginia Durst. He was the Past Exalted Ruler of the Troy Elks Lodge and a US Army Korean War Veteran. He retired as an area contractor. Service will be held at 7:30PM on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Al Bastin officiating. Elks Lodge of Sorrow Service will be held at 7:15PM Friday.
