Rosa Lee Welbaum, 88, of Troy, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, under the loving care of Hospice. Born on February 4, 1937, in Clarksville, Ohio, Rosa Lee was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose smile and laughter brightened every room she entered. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Rosa Lee moved to Troy to marry and raise her family, dedicating her life to both her loved ones and her work. She served as storeroom supervisor for more than 20 years at Piqua Memorial Hospital, later continuing her career at Upper Valley Medical Center (now Premier Health) in Troy. Known for her dedication and strong work ethic, she was admired by her colleagues and community alike.
She is survived by her children, Angela Welbaum (Troy), Dennis Welbaum (Troy), and Rhonda (Jason) Studebaker of Greer, South Carolina; her beloved grandchildren, Tabytha Studebaker and Brandon Studebaker; her youngest brother, Anthony Dwayne (Margie) George of Medway, Ohio; brother-in-law, Gilbert Welbaum (Troy); and many nieces, nephews, and dear family friends who cherished her love and laughter. Rosa Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Grace (Leinnger) George; her brothers, Eugene and Ronnie; her sister, Anna Marie Kiphart of Texas; her daughter-in-law, Donna D. Welbaum of Troy; and dear friends, Gerri Chronabery and Rodger D. Welbaum.
In her free time, Rosa Lee found joy in cheering for her beloved Cincinnati Reds, caring for her dogs and cat, and following The Young and the Restless. Her laughter, warmth, and unwavering spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. A celebration of Rosa Lee's life will be held at a later date.
