Ronald L. "Ronnie" Wilson Sr. Ronald L. "Ronnie" Wilson Sr., age 76, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 6:05AM on Monday, October 26, 2009 at Troy Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on February 14, 1933 in Troy to the late Lelondos Lon and Mildred Powell Wilson. He was married to Lyla Yvonne Mullins Wilson who preceded him in death on December 28, 2004. Survivors include five children: Ronald L. Wilson Jr. of Richmond, Indiana, Rhonda and Bill Plantz of Laura, Ohio, John Anthony Wilson of Troy, Timothy F. and Deborah S. Wilson of Dayton, Ohio and Charles and Lisa Wilson of Troy; four sisters and one brother: JoAnne Willis of Hocassin, Delaware, Delores Gozales of Troy, Florence Keith of Phoenix, Arizona, Nellie Karen of Illinois and DeWayne Wilson of Lima, Ohio; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren In addition to his parents and his wife, Ronnie was preceded in death by one grandson, Jason, one brother, Loren and three brothers-in-law: Jesse, Jack and Don. Ronnie was a graduate of Troy High School. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, having served in Germany and was a member of the American Legion, Post #43, Troy. He retired from the City of Troy Street Department after 35 years of service. A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Vandalia, Ohio.
