Rolla D. Ladd Rolla D. Ladd, 95, of Troy, OH, passed away at 2:20PM Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the Covington Care Center, Covington, OH. He was born September 17, 1911 in Hendersonville, NC, to the late Rolla Valentine and Mabel Sinclair Bowman. He was married to Charlotte Banks Ladd who predeceased him in 2002. He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law: Ellen Ladd Stalley and Richard of Scottland, UK, Priscilla Ladd Stull of Troy, and Cynthia Ladd Harrington and Bradford of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren: Matthew Stalley and Rachel Stalley of Glasgow, Scotland, Tracie and husband Charles Ward of Piqua, OH, Eric Stull and wife Amber of Alexandria, IN, and Bradford Harrington IV and wife Kate of Tucson, AZ; and three great-grandchildren: Lynn Ward, and Madison and Jacob Stull. In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Ladd was preceded in death by his brothers: Julien and William B. Ladd, sister, Cora Hartman, and son-in-law, Larry Stull. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church; Past Sr. Warden : Vestle. He also served on the Troy Civil Service Commission from 1975-1989 and was a member of the Silver Sneakers at the Robinson Branch YMCA. Mr. Ladd was a retired US Army Colonel, serving in WWII. He also was a retired co-owner of Western Auto. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM Saturday, July 21, 2007, at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Troy with Rev. Melody S. Williams officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, with VFW Honor Guard Services at the graveside. Friends may call from 5-8PM Friday at the church.
