Roger O. Mumford, 88, of Casstown, Ohio died on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 1:50am at his residence. He was born on August 27, 1917 in Miami County, Ohio to the late Vernon D. and Ella Mae Tobias Mumford. He married Betty Francis and she precedes him in death, October 30, 1985. He is survived by daughters and son-in-law: Pamela K. Mumford of Casstown, Ohio; Linda Sue & Rick Reineke of St. Paris, Ohio; sisters and brother-in-laws; Genevieve Donald Wagner of Casstown, Ohio; Betty Raymond Artz of Troy, Ohio and Florence Henderson of Casstown, Ohio; one granddaughter, Monica Green Durand of Troy, Ohio, and one grandson, Logan Durand. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Cecil, Dewey, and Lester Mumford, sister, Bernice Cavanaugh. He was a veteran of the US Army. He worked for the City of Troy in the cemetery department, retiring in 1984. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2005 at 2:00pm at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Ed Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio. There will be an honor guard service held at the graveside.
