Roger M. Boor Roger M. Boor, age 70, of Tipp City, Ohio died Monday, November 1, 2010 at The Hospice of Dayton following an extended illness. He was born June 22, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Sherman and Lucille Ellen Hood Boor. He is survived by his wife, Sue Bashore Boor; sons and daughters-in-law, Roger M. Boor Jr. and Elaine Orgain of Sunnyvale, California, Jeffrey A. and Laurie Boor of Kentwood, Michigan; stepson and daughter-in-law, Rex A. and Melissa Bashore of Eaton, Ohio; lifelong friends, the Hardin and Boltz families, and close friends, Phyllis and Ed Whitenack. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Alberta Beverly Boor in 2004, and brother, Barry C. Boor. Roger was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the Lions Club of Dayton, and the Troy Fish and Game. He retired as a mechanical engineer with Electro-Motive, Chicago and Frigidaire in Dayton and formerly employed with Sterling Staffing in Chicago. Services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Ed Ellis officiating. Interment will take place in Sugar Grove Cemetery, W. Alexandria, Ohio with honor guard services at graveside. Family will receive friends from 5-8PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Dayton.
