Roger J. Allen, 74, of Troy, Ohio died on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio after a brief illness. He was born on January 24, 1931 in Osborn, Ohio to the late Clarence V. and Ruth P. Ayres Allen. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Louise Ketzel Allen and their two children, Debra Tom Macy of Pleasant Hill, OH and Michael Allen of Troy, Ohio. He has two brothers and sisters-in-law; Mark and Norma Allen of Christiansburg, OH and Phillip and Nellie Allen of Springfield, OH. He has four grandchildren, Jennifer and Ron Miller of Troy; Emily Macy of Pleasant Hill, OH; Robert Allen of Troy, OH; and Aimee Allen of Troy, OH. He is preceded in death by brother, Herbert. He was a US Army Veteran, serving during Korean War. He was an avid woodworker and he enjoyed the outdoors. He attended Olive Branch Elementary, Tecumseh High School, and Technology Insitute for Photography in Kansas City, Missouri. He retired after 35 years of service with Wright Patterson Air Force Base as an Aeronautical Photo Technician. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2005 from 5-8PM at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 2:00PM at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
