ROCKY JAY STATEN, age 35, of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at his residence.  He was born in Dallas, TX, on January 15, 1985 to Jerry Staten and Tina Cossin.

In addition to his parents, Rocky is survived by children: Ashliyn, Triston, Brookliyn and Rozliyn Staten; siblings: Levi Fair, Mary Jane Zonker, Nicole Wells, Ricky Wells, Chris Bryant, Derrick Stager and Sunshine Fergerson; grandmother: Nevada Cossin; uncles: Paul A. Cossin, Roy Staten, Gene Staten, Joe Staten, Kent Staten and James Cook; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by grandmother: Frida Staten; grandfather: Paul Cossin; cousins: Karlon Staten, Jake Staten, Cindy Staten and Sarah Staten; and Uncle Jimmy Staten.

Rocky loved art, fishing, swimming, outdoor activities, animals, family and friends.  He had the most beautiful smile and made everyone laugh.
