Roberta M. Gares, 88, of Troy, Ohio died at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio on Monday, June 9, 2003. Mrs. Gares is survived by a daughter and son-in-law,, Carol and Pastor Douglas Magin; a daughter, Jean B. Gares; a sister, Marilyn Gentilini; four grandchildren: Jonathan Magin, Susan Magin, Jennifer Magin, Sharon and Joel Misirian; and a great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Misirian. She was preceded in death by her parents, Scott R. and Daisy R. Williams Miller; her husband, Albert J. Gares in 1984; sister, Evelyn Wess and brothers, Wilber and Melvin Miller. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Troy, Ohio. Mrs. Gares was a retired secretary/receptionist. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:30AM Saturday, June 14 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with a service at 11:30AM at the funeral home. Pastor Douglas Magin will officiate at the funeral service. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
