Robert James Tweed, age 97, of Troy, OH passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit.  He was born on May 4, 1921 in Troy, Ohio to the late James E. and Lottie (Swisher) Tweed.  He was married to his wife of 58 years: Erica A. (Swatek) Tweed and she preceded him in death on November 10, 2005.

Robert is survived by his daughter: Heidi Tweed of Eugene, OR; son: Thomas (Maureen) Tweed of Vandalia, OH; and grandchildren: Charlotte Tweed of Troy and Rosa Tweed of Fairborn.

Robert was a US Army veteran in the 42nd Division and served in WWII.   He was a local farmer and optician.
