Robert Rodney Taylor, 61, of Casstown, Ohio passed out of this life on Monday, October 20, 2003 at 5:00AM at his residence after a Courageous Battle with Cancer. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 8, 1942 to Robert Eugene & Evelyn Furlong Taylor. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Eugen Taylor. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Evelyn & Fred Stockslager of Troy, Ohio. Also surviving are his wife, Dawn Renee Jackson Taylor and four children. Sons: Chad A. Taylor of Casstown, Ohio; Dwayne E. Taylor and his wife Mona of Casstown, Ohio; Daughters: Sally E. Taylor of Columbus, Ohio and Rhonda E. Vanover and her husband Bruce of Fletcher, Ohio. Also surviving are two sisters, Audrey Phillis of Casstown, Ohio and Barbara Cobaugh of Houston, Texas; one brother & sister-in-law: Gary & Sandra Taylor of Melbourne, Fla. Mr. Taylor also had five lovely grandchildren: Dusty R. Taylor; Dylan T. Taylor; Brokke E. Vanover; Terra N. Vanover; and Kyle D. Vanover. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Troy Fish & Game. Mr. Taylor loved the outdoors. He was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather. He graduated in 1961 from Miami East Schools. He worked for Buckeye EcoCare as a lawncare technician.
