Robert Harrison Supinger, age 91, of Troy passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at his residence.  He was born on August 13, 1926 in Covington, OH the son of the late Jonas R. and Ida Mae (McConnell) Supinger and stepmother:  Blanche (Sheets) Supinger.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years:  Mabel E. (McClure) Supinger on December 16, 2015.

Bob is survived by daughters: Tina Supinger, Betty Straker and Miriam "Missy" Supinger all of Troy; sons: Robert Supinger and Jody Supinger both of Troy; dog: Mandi; sisters: Joyann Pritchard of Covington and Linda Lucas of Troy; sister-in-law: Dorothy Supinger of Troy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and grand furbabies.  In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by: brothers: Carl, Calvin, Jonas "Joe", Gerald and Roscoe Supinger; sisters: Geraldine Supinger; Marilyn Sue Supinger and Miriam Hoffman.

Bob proudly served his country during WWII in the US Navy from 1943-1946 in the Pacific.  He retired as Master Sergeant with the US Air Force in April 1965 after 21 years of service including serving on the Berlin Air Lift.  He was employed with the Troy City Schools from 1965-1988.  Bob was a 70-year member of the Covington VFW Post 4235 and Troy VFW Post 5436.  He was Past Commander with the Troy Post.  He was a member of the True Life Community Church and Troy View Church of God.

Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at True Life Community Church, 56 Fossway Drive, Troy with Pastor Chris Daum and Pastor Terry Gray officiating.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington with full military honors.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-5:00PM on Tuesday at True Life Community Church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 580 Lincoln Park Blvd, Suite 320, Kettering, OH 45429 or Honor Flight Dayton, 200 Canary Court, Enon, OH 45323.
