Robert L. Stafford, 78, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. He was born November 10, 1925 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Loren and Reva Kiser Stafford. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beatrix L. Criteser Stafford. Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law: Michael L. and Rebecca Stafford of Tampa, Florida and a son-in-law: Craig Bayman of Aberdeen, South Dakota; brother and sister-in-law: Jim and Mickey Stafford of Troy, Ohio and stepsisters, Glenna Hahn of Troy, Ohio and Pauline Beasecker of Greenville, Ohio. He has three grandchildren, Kelly Bayman; Jaimie Bayman and Rachel Stafford. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Judy Bayman. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy; Longtime member of the Elks Lodge No. 833, Troy and VFW Post #5436, Troy. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran having served on the USS Stockton in the South Pacific. He retired from Brown-Bridge-Kimberly Clark, Troy and formerly employed with Neal's Dairy and Henne Grocery of Troy. There will be Veterans Honor Guard services at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
