Robert L. "Mick" Scarff Robert L. "Mick" Scarff, age 92, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 11:30AM Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Harborside Health Care Center, Troy. He was born on August 2, 1916, in Miami County, Ohio, to the late Clifford and Catherine Buchman Scarff. His wife of 57 years, Edna Ellen Vannoy Scarff, survives. He is also survived by his son, Michael Scarff of Troy and three nephews: Lawrence "Boots" Scarff of Florida, Ned Scarff of Troy, Ohio and Ted Scarff of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Mac and Raymond Scarff and one sister, Marie. Mr. Scarff was a graduate of Troy High School and a member of the Franklin Lodge #14 F&AM and Troy Church of the Brethren. He formerly owned and operated Scarff's Gulf Service and retired from Troy Sun Shade Co. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. Sheila Shumaker officiating. Interment will follow at Casstown, Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, P.O.
