Robert L. "Robby" Meek Jr., age 47, of Troy, OH passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2025 at the Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born on October 15, 1977 in Troy.

He is survived by his parents: Steffani J. (Favorite) and Mark Melvin of Troy and Robert L. Sr. and Diana Meek of Troy; his children: Tristan Meek, Aveyen Meek and Anya North; siblings: Jessica (Brittany) Melvin, Alex (Danielle) Melvin, James (Kristi) Dunn III, Michael Cartonia, Matthew Cartonia and Samantha (Donny Brown) Cartonia; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Elmer D. and Velma (Squirt) Meek and Cecil Melvin; maternal grandparents: Harold (Charlie) and Sarah Olson and Gene (Tunney) Favorite  sister: Kaitlyn Elizabeth Melvin, brother: Jason Dunn and uncle: Douglas (Lois) Meek.

Robby grew up in Troy, surrounded by family and friends.  He loved skateboarding as a child and had an amazing group of skaterdude friends; who he still spoke fondly of throughout his life.  He and his family loved Notre Dame football and enjoyed going to campus and attending games as a young boy. He loved the freedom of riding on a motorcycle.

Robby was a skilled tradesman, a brick layer, concrete mason and more recently, worked in his oldest son's construction and remodeling business where they just finished building their first house, together.

We are a world struggling with the demon called addiction.  Robby had his own demons; as do many in his circle.  He struggled to overcome his addiction and was successful at times.  This was not one of those times.  It is a hard and painful path.  Please, if any of you, or someone you know and love, are experiencing your own addiction struggles, reach out and find help.  Name it, claim it, and save your life.  There are numerous addictions services in Troy, Miami County and the surrounding areas.  Here are just a few:

Sage Bradley Denson Memorial Fund – Partners In Hope - 937-335-0448 Tri-County Crisis Hotline - 937-335-7148 TCN/MCRC - Troy, 937-335-4543 UVMC Behavioral Health Admissions - 937- 440-7601 Sunrise Treatment Center - 937-884-4844 Alcoholics Anonymous – 937-222-2211 Narcotics Anonymous Ohio – 800-587-4232

Robby will be remembered for his unique laugh, his beautiful smile and the way he hugged and kissed the ones he loved; and his "alright, I love ya's" as he was leaving.  Robby, We love you, We love you, We love you.  You are a chosen child of God.  "Second Star to the Right, and straight on "til morning."
