ROBERT J. "ROB" WERST

ROBERT J. "ROB" WERST, age 58, of Piqua, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on January 4, 1963 in Piqua to the late Richard L. and Doris E. (Sullenberger) Werst.

Rob is survived by his wife of 18 years: Heidi Sue (Massingill) Werst; step-children: James (Jennifer) Walker of Piqua and Chris (Amanda) North of Troy; brothers: Craig (Crystal) Werst of Piqua and Chris A. Werst of Troy; grandchildren: Kaelynn and MacKenzye Walker, Makayla Ball and Austin North; and his dogs: Brutus and Buckley.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Mark S. Werst; and his dogs, Harley and Sadie.

Rob was a 1982 graduate of Piqua Central High School and Upper Valley JVS.  He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 971.  Rob loved his dogs, his Harley, watching TV and his music.  He was employed with Brian Brothers Painting.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Joe Hill officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua.
