Robert J. McCaffrey Robert J. McCaffrey, age 89, of Troy, Ohio passed away at 6:20PM on Monday, August 10, 2009 at Troy Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on September 12, 1919 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late James and Elizabeth Burns McCaffrey. His wife of 68 years, Margaret McDermott McCaffrey, survives. Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Penny McCaffrey of Stuart, Florida; daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and John Knab of Great Falls, Virginia, Peggy and Jim Barr of Troy, Ohio and Jane Concannon of Cincinnati, Ohio; eleven grandchildren: Molly Dave McCaffrey, Katie Chris Brandt, David Rebekah Knab, Brian Allison Knab, Julie Knab, Jim Sheri Barr, Amy Flynn Galbraith, Thomas Dale Barr, Kelly Sue Todd Blair, Patrick Concannon and Cara Concannon; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John. Robert was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, where he served as a eucharistic minister. He was also a member of the Troy Senior Citizens and the Elks Lodge, Troy. He was a retired zone sales manager for International Harvester after 41 years of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, August 14, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. Friends may call from 5-8PM on Thursday at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rosary Service at 7:45PM.
