Robert L. Edwards, age 68, of Troy, Ohio died Friday, February 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born November 3, 1940 in Reedsville, OH to the late Bernie Edwards and Alberta Smith Edwards. He was married to Sylvia T. Thomas Edwards who survives. He is also survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Scott Edwards of Hilliard, OH and Chris and Teresa Edwards of Troy, OH; stepchildren, Wilda Jimmy Gadd of Chickamauga, GA; Regina Joe Keith of Chickamauga, GA; Teresa Richard Jackson of Chickamauga, GA and Tim Speer of New Port Richey, FL; granddaughter, Sara; ten step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Carol Edwards; two sisters, Dorothy Cashdollar, Lorraine Haberbush; and one brother, Clark Edwards. He was a 1958 graduate of Eastern High School. He was a member of Warren Lodge F&AM, Piqua, OH; 32nd Degree Scottish Rite of Dayton Masonic Temple; and US Air Force Veteran serving in the Military Police. He retired in 2000 from Delphi Division of General Motors. Memorial service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the Riverside Cemetery Chapel, Troy, OH with Pastor Bob Jackson officiating.
