He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Virginia (McNatt) Brundrett in 1969, his parents Robert H. Brundrett, Sr. and Ruth (Bartch) Brundrett, and five siblings. He is survived by his wife, Juanita (Kelley) Brundrett, ten children, Mary Diane (Peter) Voyentzie of Brookfield, CT., Robert Lee (Linda) of Troy, James Cronin (Lynda) of Westerville, Lawrence Bartch (Tracey) of Houston, TX, Kathleen Dwyer of Indianapolis, IN, Richard Anthony (Carla) of Perrysburg, Cecilia Chapman of Arlington, VA, David Alexander of Troy, Thomas Cramer of Tipp City, and Sharon Cramer of Troy, 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1915, and graduated from Oakwood High School class of 1933. He received a BS degree in agriculture from The Ohio State University and managed farms in southern Ohio until military service. He defined what we now call "The Greatest Generation". He married his first wife, Mary, in 1941 and served in the US Army Air Corps for five years during WWII. After military service he was a dairy farmer in Miami County for three decades before returning to college to become a Math and Science teacher. He taught in Tipp City and Troy School systems for more than 20 years before retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and former member of the Farm Bureau, The National Wildlife Association, Tipp City Rotary Club and the Tipp City School Board.
He was an avid photographer, fisherman and supporter of wildlife throughout his life and enjoyed spending time at Brukner Nature Center and at his beloved Cass Lake cabin in Northern Minnesota. He also had a great love for horses and dogs throughout his life and could often be seen around town with one of his Great Danes. He was a great loving, caring and guiding patriarch of the family, an inspiration to all, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
